Add a post to a queue
On this page
Set your regular posting times once, then drop posts into the next free time instead of picking a time for each one.
Before you start
- Connect at least one social account.
- Set up posting times in your queue. Each account follows the default queue unless you add it to a custom queue.
Open the feature
Choose Publish in the left sidebar, then Queue. To change your posting times, click Manage Queue at the top of the page.
Steps
- On the Queue page, click Manage Queue.
- On the Social Accounts card under Default queues, click Edit schedule.
- Add times in one of two ways:
- Click + in a day's column, pick the hour and minute, then click Add time.
- Under the grid, set Add a new posting time for to Every day, Weekdays or Weekends, pick a time and click Add posting slot.
- Click Save changes.
- Choose Publish Content in the sidebar, select your accounts and write your post.
- Under When to post, choose one of these options:
- Auto-Queue Next: uses the first available slot in the queue.
- Auto-Queue Last: uses the last slot in the queue.
- Click the button at the bottom right. Its label matches your choice: Auto-Queue Next or Auto-Queue Last.
Remove or disable queue slots
While editing a queue schedule, remove an individual slot with its remove control. Use Clear all to clear the schedule, or the day's on/off control to change whether that day is active. Save and reopen the schedule to confirm it. Review already scheduled posts separately after changing queue availability.
Expected result
You see Schedule saved after saving your times. Each queued post gets the next matching time slot for each account. It shows on the Queue page and in Calendar with a Queue tag. To see only queued posts on the Queue page, filter by Queue Posts.
Example
To share a tip every weekday at 9:00 AM on LinkedIn, open Queue and click Manage Queue. Click Edit schedule, set Add a new posting time for to Weekdays at 9:00 AM, click Add posting slot and then Save changes. Write your first tip in Publish Content, select your LinkedIn Page, choose Auto-Queue Last and click Auto-Queue Last. Repeat for each tip. They line up one per weekday.
Limits and permissions
Use Generate new posting slots on the queue card or in the queue editor to regenerate its timetable. Review the new slots before saving.
- Active team members can save or delete queue timetables when their role in the selected workspace allows managing profiles. They can change only the queues of social accounts that were shared with them and belong to that workspace. An Author cannot change timetables.
- The Time zone shown on each queue card is used to calculate that queue's posting slots. It is read-only in Manage Queue. A custom timetable can retain its own saved time zone, so it may differ from the workspace time zone shown elsewhere.
- An account follows one queue at a time. Moving it to a custom queue clears its times in the old queue.
- If every day is switched Off, the queue keeps its times but posts nothing.
- Changing your posting times doesn't remove posts that are already scheduled.
- To move an existing post into the queue, click Queue it on the post in Queue, then click Yes.
- Queue it isn't offered on a post the queue already placed, or on a repeating post or any of its repeats. Moving one repeat into the queue would separate it from the rest.
Troubleshooting
- You see "No queue set up yet": click Create a queue and add at least one posting time.
- You don't see Queue it on a post: the post repeats, was placed by the queue already, or isn't in Future posts. If you see a message that a repeating post can't be moved into the queue, refresh the page.
- You see "That day already posts at this time": pick a different time for that day.
- A post landed later than expected: earlier slots were already taken. Check the Queue page for what's ahead of it.
- Posts go out at the wrong hour: check the Time zone shown on the affected queue card in Manage Queue. Each timetable uses its saved time zone, which may differ from the workspace time zone shown elsewhere.
