Customize the composer toolbar

Your toolbar arrangement changes which tools are immediately visible. It does not give access to features outside your plan.

Before you start

Open a post in the composer. Some tools require a selected profile, content or an eligible plan.

Open the feature

Open Publish Content, then More tools > Customize toolbar.

Steps

1. Drag tools in the customization panel to change their order.
2. Use the add and remove controls to choose which tools appear in your toolbar. Tools that do not fit stay in More tools.
3. Choose Reset to default to restore the default arrangement.
4. In the text editor, type / to open the tools palette, search for a tool and select it. Close the palette to keep writing.

Example

Move Hashtags near the start of your toolbar and keep less-used tools in More tools.

Limits and permissions

• Available space depends on the window width.
• A tool can be disabled until its required profile or content is selected.

Troubleshooting

• A pinned tool is missing: open More tools or widen the window.
• The arrangement is confusing: reset it to the default.
