Set per-profile publishing times
On this page
Give each social account in a post its own publish time, or space them out a few minutes apart.
Before you start
- Select at least two social accounts. The option doesn't appear for a single account.
- Posts use your workspace's timezone. Timezone is set at the workspace level. To change it, go to your workspace settings.
Open the feature
Choose Publish in the left sidebar to open the Publish Content composer. Under When to post, choose Schedule, then click the date and time button. At the bottom of the picker, choose Customize date & time for each profile. The Customize schedule window opens.
Steps
- Write your post and select your social accounts as usual.
- Open Customize schedule as described above.
- Choose how to set the times:
- Customize for each account: click Set date & time next to an account, pick a date and time, then click OK. Repeat for each account that needs its own time. Accounts you leave alone use the base time shown at the top.
- Automatic intervals: set Start from, then pick an Interval (1 min to 5 min). Drag accounts under Publishing order to change who goes first.
- Click Apply.
- Click Schedule at the bottom right.
Expected result
Next to the date in the composer footer you'll see a badge: + and the number of accounts with their own time, or the interval (for example +2 min) if you used Automatic intervals. Click the badge to reopen Customize schedule. In Calendar, each account's post sits at its own time.
Example
To post a sale announcement to your US Facebook Page at 9:00 AM and your UK Facebook Page at 2:00 PM, select both Pages and write the post. Choose Schedule, set the base time to 9:00 AM, and open Customize date & time for each profile. On Customize for each account, click Set date & time next to the UK Page, pick 2:00 PM, click OK, then Apply. Click Schedule. Calendar shows one post at 9:00 AM and one at 2:00 PM.
Limits and permissions
- Per-profile times are only available with Schedule, and only when creating a post. You can't set them while editing an existing post.
- All times use the workspace timezone.
- You can't pick a time in the past: That time is in the past. Please pick a later time.
- TikTok needs at least 5 minutes between posts. If you pick a shorter interval, TikTok accounts use 5 minutes and everything else keeps your interval.
- If your workspace uses approvals, each post may need approval before it publishes. See Review and approve a post.
Troubleshooting
- You can't see Customize date & time for each profile: check you've chosen Schedule, selected at least two accounts, and are creating a new post.
- You want to undo the custom times: open Customize schedule and choose Clear all custom dates & times (or Clear all overrides on Automatic intervals). To remove one account's time, click the x next to it (Remove custom date & time).
- A time in Calendar looks wrong: check your workspace timezone in your workspace settings.
- You can't drag accounts to reorder them: reordering only works on the Automatic intervals tab, and not while the Search box has text in it. Clear the search first.
