Configure a Recycle campaign
On this page
A Recycle campaign takes posts from a collection and shares them again on your chosen social accounts, at the times you set each week.
Before you start
- Create a collection with at least one post. See Create a Recycle collection.
- Recycle must be included in your plan, and your team role needs the Manage Recycle permission.
- Check you're in the right workspace.
Open the feature
Choose Publish in the left sidebar, then Recycle, then Campaign. Click Create New (or Create New Campaign if you have none yet).
Steps
- Type a Campaign Name (up to 30 characters).
- Under Social Accounts, open the list and tick the accounts to post to.
- Under Content Collection, choose a collection from Choose a Collection. To make one now, click + Create New.
- Under Schedule Campaign, set Campaign Starts to Immediately or pick a date. Set Campaign Ends to Forever or pick a date.
- Under Create Timeslot, click + Add Timeslot, pick a time and tick the days it applies to. Add a row for each time of day. To fill the table with suggested times, click Suggest time.
- To add tracking to links, turn on UTM Tracking and fill in the fields for each network.
- Click Create Campaign. If you see Limited Posts Available, click Proceed Anyway to save, or Cancel to add more posts first.
Manage timeslots and tracking
Review the workspace timezone before adding campaign times. Use Clear all to remove the configured timeslots, then add the replacement schedule before saving. In the UTM form, review Make this UTM URL unique if you need distinct tracked links. Check the resulting tracking fields and schedule before creating or updating the campaign.
Expected result
You see Yay! Your campaign is successfully created and the campaign card appears under Campaigns with its collection, post count, dates and Active status. Recycled posts appear in Queue and Calendar as each timeslot comes up.
Example
To share tips every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 AM, name the campaign Weekly tips, tick your Facebook Page and LinkedIn page, and choose your Evergreen tips collection. Leave Immediately and Forever selected. Click + Add Timeslot, set 10:00 AM, and tick Tuesday and Thursday. Click Create Campaign. A tip is posted on both accounts each Tuesday and Thursday.
Limits and permissions
- A collection can belong to only one campaign. If you choose one that's already used, you're asked to confirm. Saying Yes removes it from the other campaign and turns that campaign off.
- Suggest time replaces any timeslots you already added.
- Timeslots must be at least 10 minutes apart, and two rows can't have the same time.
- The timezone comes from your workspace settings.
- UTM Tracking isn't saved for every network. Reopen the campaign with Edit campaign to check your settings.
- Your plan sets how many campaigns you can have.
- If your workspace requires labels, pick a Post Label. Every post the campaign creates gets that label.
- Posts with media a network doesn't support won't publish there. Check the posts in your collection fit each network.
- If you add an X account and your posts have links, they count towards your monthly X link-post limit.
Troubleshooting
- You see "Select at least one social account to continue.": tick at least one account under Social Accounts.
- You see "Oops! You forgot to select a day for one of your time slots.": tick at least one day on every timeslot row.
- You see "Limited Posts Available": your collection has fewer posts than your timeslots need, so some posts may repeat. Add more posts, or click Proceed Anyway.
- An account is marked "Campaign not supported for this account.": choose a different account.
- No posts appear: check the campaign shows Active and its collection has posts. Then check Queue after the next timeslot.
