Publish the same post more than once, without creating it again each time.

Before you start

  • Select at least one account that supports repeats. The repeat option only appears for those accounts.
  • Repeats are set when you create a post. You can't add them while editing an existing post.

Open the feature

Choose Publish in the left sidebar. In the Publish Content composer, find I want to repeat my post below the text box.

Steps

  1. Select your accounts and write your post.
  2. Turn on I want to repeat my post.
  3. Click Total Accounts selected and tick the accounts that should repeat the post.
  4. In each account's repeat panel, choose a Schedule mode:
    • Auto: set Number of repetitions and Time gap (a number plus Hours, Days, Weeks or Months), then click Save.
    • Custom: click Add date to add each repeat, and click a date to change it. Custom dates save as you go.
  5. For X and Facebook Pages, choose what happens to the earlier post using the options under the dates.
  6. Under When to post, choose when the first post goes out, then click the button at the bottom right.

Expected result

The repeat dates show as chips in each account's panel. After you submit, the post and its repeats appear in Calendar with a Repeat tag. To see only these on the Queue page, filter by Repeat Posts.

Example

To remind X followers about a webinar three times, one day apart, select your X account and write the reminder. Turn on I want to repeat my post, tick your X account under Total Accounts selected and choose Auto. Set Number of repetitions to 3 and Time gap to 1 Days, choose We delete your previous post before posting a new one, but save your analytics. and click Save. Choose Schedule, pick Monday at 10:00 AM and click Schedule.

Limits and permissions

  • You can add up to 10 repeats per account.
  • Except on X and Facebook Pages, repeats must be at least 48 hours apart, so Hours isn't offered.
  • I want to repeat my post is turned off while a Facebook post is boosted.
  • Times use your workspace's time zone.
  • With Post Now, repeats count from the moment you post, one Time gap apart.
  • Queue it isn't offered on a repeating post or any of its repeats on the Queue page. Moving one repeat into the queue would separate it from the rest.

Troubleshooting

  • You don't see I want to repeat my post: none of your selected accounts supports repeats. Try a different account.
  • A date chip turns red: it's a duplicate or too close to another repeat. Click it and pick a new date.
  • You see "Repeats for this platform must be at least 48 hours apart.": spread your Custom dates further apart.
  • You see "At least one repeat is required for custom repeats": click Add date, or switch Schedule mode to Auto.
