Use the dashboard to find work that needs attention and open the relevant product area.

Before you start

Select the intended account and check the dashboard's workspace selector. It can show All Workspaces. Check whether Show sample data is on before interpreting any numbers.

Open the feature

Choose Home in the main navigation to open the dashboard.

Steps

  1. To ask Switch for help, use the Switch box at the top of the dashboard. Type a question, or choose a suggestion such as What's in my queue this week?. Switch opens beside the dashboard with the answer.
  2. Read Needs Attention and open the relevant item to investigate it.
  3. In Content pipeline, read the line under each count to see what it covers. Draft and Pending approval show All outstanding, and Scheduled shows All upcoming, whatever dates you pick. Published and Failed count posts in the selected date range and show it, such as Last 30 days or 1 – 14 Jun.
  4. Review Performance, Engage, Upcoming posts, Latest drafts, Top posts and Platform health where available. Follow a card’s action to open its detailed screen. The Google Analytics card adds website traffic, and Campaigns & Collections summarizes Recycle content when your plan and workspace allow them.
  5. Read the scope shown on AI Usage: its usage is account-wide, rather than limited to the current workspace. Choose Open AI usage for detail.
  6. Choose Customize to show, hide and reorder sections.
  7. Choose Done to close customization. If a save warning appears, choose Retry and wait for it to clear.
  8. Use Reset to default (or Reset layout, if shown) if you want the default arrangement.

Choose a reporting period or create a post

Use the dashboard's date-range picker to choose the reporting period. Custom dates cannot reach back beyond the supported six-month window. Use New Post to open the composer; review the workspace, social accounts and schedule there before submitting.

Expected result

The dashboard shows the selected data and arrangement. Card actions open the screens where you can act on that information.

Example

Move Needs Attention above performance cards so disconnected accounts and pending work are easier to find.

Limits and permissions

  • Sample numbers illustrate the screen and do not measure your workspace.
  • AI Usage is account-wide. Other cards follow their displayed scope and period.
  • Changing the date range changes only the Published and Failed counts in Content pipeline. A Scheduled count of 0 means nothing is approved and waiting to go out at all, not only in the selected dates.
  • Card availability depends on access, data and product configuration.
  • Customization is unavailable in Demo Workspace.
  • The Switch box always stays at the top of the dashboard. You can't move or hide it from Customize.
  • The Switch box appears only when Switch is available on your account. It is hidden in Demo Workspace and while Show sample data is on.

Troubleshooting

  • The numbers look unfamiliar: turn off Show sample data and check the workspace and date range.
  • A card is missing: check Customize and your permissions.
  • The arrangement differs in another browser: check that you selected the same account and review Customize. Whether your arrangement follows you across browsers depends on the dashboard experience available to your account.
  • You see "We couldn't save your layout": choose Retry. The arrangement on screen is not confirmation that saving succeeded.
  • You see "We couldn't load your saved layout": retry loading before changing the arrangement.

Understand every dashboard card

Card What to read What you can do
Needs Attention Active issues, including pending approvals, unanswered conversations, disconnected accounts and an engagement drop when available Open the relevant action; expand or collapse the section. With All Workspaces selected, choose a workspace when an action offers several destinations. Manage Accounts opens the account-wide screen.
Performance Audience gained during the period, impressions, engagement rate and posts published; change versus the previous period Switch the trend between Impressions, Engagement and Followers. Open Analytics for the detailed report.
Google Analytics Sessions, users and page views for one connected website property Choose a workspace, open the detailed report, connect or reconnect when permitted, or retry a failed read.
Content pipeline Draft, Pending approval, Scheduled, Published and Failed counts Select a stage to open its work. Under All Workspaces, choose the relevant workspace when prompted.
Campaigns & Collections Latest active campaigns and recently updated collections Open a row or View recycle; eligible owners/admins can use the empty-state create actions.
AI Usage Separate assistant-turn, AI Wizard text-generation and image-generation allowances Open AI usage, or Connect your AI key when offered and permitted.
Engage Conversations awaiting a response Reply opens the conversation; Open Engage opens the inbox.
Upcoming posts Upcoming content, social networks, date, time, status and post type Open the post or Calendar to inspect its schedule.
Latest drafts Recent drafts, previews, post type and last-edited time Use Edit when allowed, View otherwise, or View all for Drafts.
Top posts Ranked post previews, post type and the available likes, comments and engagement figures Select the row to open its Analytics top-posts report, or use View all.
Platform health Social profile connection state, available follower/visitor figures and any required action Use Reauthenticate for a profile needing attention, or Manage Accounts. Active profiles say No Action Required.

Performance's Audience is the gain during the selected range, not your current total followers. Facebook, Instagram and TikTok views contribute to the combined Impressions figure. A dash or Not available means that metric was unavailable, not that its value was zero.

Read AI allowances correctly

The three AI meters measure different things; do not add their values together. Each meter shows its own allowance and reset information when available. A near-limit warning starts at 80% usage. A depleted meter does not mean every AI feature is depleted. Unmetered, a connected-key label, Not on your plan, and Unavailable describe different states: unavailable means the usage could not be read. Retry a failed read before concluding your allowance has run out. Team members may need an account owner to change the AI plan or key configuration.

Arrange cards and recover a saved layout

  1. Open Customize and use each section's switch to show or hide it.
  2. Drag a section's handle to change its order.
  3. If your dashboard offers card resizing, drag a card's edge or corner to adjust its size. Smaller screens may stack the cards instead of keeping desktop columns.
  4. Choose Done. Check for a save warning and use Retry if one appears.
  5. Reset layout or Reset to default restores the default arrangement, not your account data.

The newer card-layout experience saves the arrangement for your signed-in account; the older section arrangement is stored in the browser. Do not expect the older arrangement to follow you to another browser. Neither hiding a card nor resetting the layout deletes posts, conversations or reports.

Sample data, onboarding and empty states

Upcoming posts, Latest drafts and Top posts show a post-type icon before each caption: image, video, reel, Short, story or text, the same icons as Calendar. A post or draft going to several networks as different types shows one icon per type. Hover an icon for its name.

Show sample data is an exploration mode. Turn it off before comparing real results or acting on a sample campaign or collection. Demo Workspace has its own synthetic data and does not offer dashboard customization. New accounts may see a sample introduction or setup checklist. A trial banner, when present, shows the subscription action to users who can use it; dismissing the banner does not extend the trial.

An empty Upcoming posts card means there is nothing upcoming in its scope. An empty Engage card means no unanswered conversations were returned. An empty Top posts card can mean published content has not collected analytics yet. Needs Attention can disappear when there are no issues. An individual card's Retry reloads that card after a read failure; it does not repair a disconnected social account. Follow Reauthenticate for connection problems.

For step-by-step controls, see Customize dashboard layout and Read AI usage.

Small controls and recovery

  • Collapse Needs Attention to reduce clutter, then expand it to review issues. When a count spans workspaces, choose the workspace from the chooser before following the action.
  • In Content Pipeline, select a stage and, when prompted, its workspace. The destination shows the relevant work; the dashboard count is not a bulk publishing action.
  • Switch the Performance chart metric with its tabs. A missing metric means unavailable data, not zero.
  • Reply on an Engage item opens that conversation. Opening a draft continues editing; opening an upcoming or top post inspects the selected item. Neither action publishes a new post.
  • Reauthenticate in Platform Health leads to account management. No Action Required describes the connection state, not proof that every post delivered.
  • Use each card's Retry after a read error. Retrying a card does not reset its source data. Use the full destination when a small card truncates its rows.
  • Show sample data, the sample-tour choices and Show my dashboard switch the viewing context. Connect accounts to build real data. Dismissing the trial banner or sample notice does not purchase a subscription or change the trial.
  • The onboarding checklist can be opened or collapsed. New Post starts a composer; check workspace and accounts there before scheduling.
