An accepted invitation gives access to the workspaces and features assigned by the administrator. Your personal account remains a separate context.

Before you start

Have an invitation sent to the email address you will use to sign in.

Open the feature

Open the team invitation link supplied by your administrator.

Steps

  1. Follow the invitation’s sign-in or account-creation flow using the invited email address.
  2. After signing in, open the workspace selector in the header and choose the team workspace. In Settings, use the account switcher to choose the inviting account.
  3. Select a workspace assigned to you.
  4. Check which profiles and features your role allows before creating content.

Expected result

An accepted invitation gives access to the workspaces and features assigned by the administrator. Your personal account remains a separate context.

Example

Join a client’s marketing team and select its workspace before drafting a post.

Limits and permissions

  • Access depends on the role, workspaces, profiles and features assigned to you.
  • Account switching and workspace switching select different levels of context.
  • In the CRM pilot, use the selector at the top of CRM. Switching workspaces keeps CRM open, clears the open contact and loads the selected workspace's records. CRM still requires access to that workspace.
  • The workspace selector in the header lists your own workspaces and the ones shared with you. Each row shows your role: Owner on a grey tag, shared roles such as Admin on a blue tag. Settings shows the account switcher instead, with Personal and Team tags.
  • If you signed up before the workspace selector replaced the account switcher in the profile menu, that menu shows a short note telling you where your team workspaces went. People who signed up later do not see it.
  • The "Create your own workspace" button at the bottom of the selector appears only until you have set up a workspace of your own.

Troubleshooting

  • The invitation fails: ask the administrator to check the invited email and resend or copy a fresh invitation link.
  • The team is missing: check the signed-in email and ask the administrator to confirm that your invitation is accepted.
