Connect a social account
On this page
Link a Page, profile, channel or board to Social Champ so you can post to it.
Before you start
- Switch to the workspace the account should belong to. Open the workspace switcher in the top header and pick it from My workspaces. New accounts are added to the workspace you're in.
- Have the login for the social network ready. You need to manage the Page, channel or board you want to add.
Open the feature
Click Add (the plus button) in the left sidebar and choose Add Social Account. The Add Social Account page opens.
You can also go to Settings > Workspace > Social Accounts and click Add new social account.
Steps
- Find the network. Type its name in Search platforms..., or narrow the list with All, Social, Video, Reviews/Analytics or Connected.
- Click the network's card, for example Facebook — Profile, Page & Group, Instagram — Business & Personal or LinkedIn — Profile & Page.
- Sign in to the network and allow Social Champ the access it asks for.
- Back in Social Champ, a window lists the accounts you manage. Tick each one you want to add. Use Search accounts to find one, or tick Hide added accounts to shorten the list.
- Click Done Adding.
Networks with additional setup
Some cards open a network-specific setup form instead of the usual Page picker. For Telegram, WhatsApp Business, Discord, G2, Google Play and LinkedIn Ads, follow the fields and permissions shown for that network. For a LINE Official Account, paste the channel credentials from the LINE Developers console; see Connect a LINE Official Account. Have the required channel, business, app or ad-account access ready; signing into a personal profile alone may not be enough.
If the network you need is not listed, choose Request an Integration, enter its name and send the request. Requesting it does not connect an account.
Expected result
The account appears on Manage Accounts (Settings > Workspace > Social Accounts) with the status Active. It's also listed under Select social account when you create a post in this workspace. On the Add Social Account page, the network's card shows how many accounts you've connected.
Example
To add your bakery's Facebook Page, click Add > Add Social Account, then click the Facebook card. Log in to Facebook and allow access. In the window that opens, tick your Page and click Done Adding. Open Publish, and your Page is now in the Select social account list.
Limits and permissions
At narrower desktop widths the add button reads Add account. Grid view uses Active and Locked; list view can show Connected, No expiry date, Expires in N day(s) and Account is locked.
- How many accounts you can connect depends on your plan. The window shows your usage as Added Social Accounts. An account over the limit shows as Locked and can't be posted to.
- The account owner can add social accounts. Admins and Editors can also add accounts in their workspaces.
- An account can only be in one workspace. If it's already in another one, it shows Already Added. Click Show me where to see which workspace. To move it, see Move profiles between workspaces.
- Facebook Groups need one extra step. Social Champ shows How to authorize Social Champ on Facebook. Follow the steps in your group's settings, then click Authorize Social Champ On Facebook.
Troubleshooting
Closing a profile selector does not close unrelated dialogs.
TikTok-only connection screens count the networks shown on that screen and ignore other connected networks.
- The account you want isn't in the list: check you're signed in to the right social network account and that you manage the Page, group or channel. Click Group not found?, Board not found?, Account not found? or Channel not found? at the bottom of the window for help.
- The window says "You don't have any pages yet.": the social network account you signed in with doesn't manage any Pages. Sign in with the account that does.
- The account shows Already Added: it's already in this workspace or another one. Click Show me where to find it.
- The new account is missing from the composer: check you're in the workspace you added it to.
