Link a Google identity to your Social Champ account

Add Google as a way to log in, so you can skip typing your password.

Before you start

• Log in to the Social Champ account you want to keep.
• Have your current Social Champ password ready. You need it to confirm the link.

Open the feature

Open Settings, then choose Personal > Security. Find the Sign-in methods card.

Steps

1. On the Sign-in methods card, click Connect Google.
2. Choose the Google account you want to link. You're taken back to Security.
3. In Connect Google sign-in, check the Google email shown, then type your password in Current Social Champ password.
4. Click Confirm and connect.

Expected result

You see Google sign-in has been connected. The Google row shows Connected and the Google email. Next time, click Continue with Google on the login page.

Example

You log in with you@company.com and a password, and want to use your work Google account instead. Open Settings > Personal > Security, click Connect Google and pick your work Google account. Type your Social Champ password and click Confirm and connect. Next time, click Continue with Google on the login page.

Limits and permissions

• You can link one Google account. To link a different one, click Disconnect Google first, type your password and click Disconnect Google again.
• A Google account can be linked to only one Social Champ account.
• If your account was created with Google or Apple, or your organization uses single sign-on, you can't change sign-in methods here.
• Linking Google is only for logging in. It doesn't connect YouTube or a Google Business Profile for posting.
• If two-factor authentication is on, you still enter your code after Continue with Google.
• You can also link Google from the login page. Click Continue with Google. If your Google email matches your Social Champ account, you see Connect Google to your account. Type your Social Champ password and click Connect Google and sign in (or Connect and log in in the alternate sign-in layout).

Troubleshooting

• You see "This Google account is already linked to another Social Champ account.": pick a different Google account, or log in to the account that already uses it.
• You see "Disconnect the current Google account before linking another one.": click Disconnect Google, then connect the new one.
• You see "Sign-in methods are managed by your organization's SSO policy.": ask your organization's admin. You log in with Log in with SSO.
• You see "Your session expired. Please try again." or "Choose your Google account again to continue.": click Connect Google again.
• You see "Unable to load sign-in methods.": click Retry.
