Buy more storage or reduce purchased storage packs after checking your Media Library usage.

Before you start

  • Use the account owner or an admin with billing access. Storage add-ons are offered on eligible paid plans.
  • Check the usage meter in Publish > Media Library. Storage packs are shared across all workspaces on the account.
  • Before reducing storage, download any files you need to keep and review how much space the smaller allowance provides.

Open the feature

Open Settings > Billing > Change Plan, keep the intended plan selected, then expand Add-ons and find Media Storage.

Steps

  1. Read the storage added by each pack and the price shown on the card.
  2. Change Media storage packs. Increase the quantity to add storage, reduce it to remove packs, or set it to zero to remove the purchased storage add-on.
  3. Check the added-storage total and your current usage where shown. The added amount is extra capacity, not a separate allowance for each workspace.
  4. If the new allowance is below your usage, read the warning. It identifies how much of your oldest media will be locked and deleted in 30 days unless you free up space. Stop and review those files before proceeding; the warning does not prevent checkout.
  5. Review Bill Monthly or Bill Yearly, the resulting Order Summary and any other plan changes, then complete checkout.
  6. Check the saved subscription and return to Media Library to confirm capacity and file availability.

Expected result

After a successful subscription update, the account uses its new storage allowance. Changing a quantity in the form alone does not change purchased capacity. When reducing below current usage, treat the displayed locking and deletion warning as a risk to your saved files.

Example

Your team no longer needs all its purchased storage. Download the files you want to retain, remove unused files from the library, then lower the pack quantity. Confirm the smaller allowance still covers your usage before checkout.

Limits and permissions

You can open add-ons directly from Settings > Billing > Add-ons, as well as through Change Plan.

  • Pack size, maximum quantity, price and availability come from the selected plan and checkout. Use the amounts shown for your account.
  • Removing paid packs does not remove the plan's included storage allowance.
  • Storage is account-wide. Check with other workspace members before deleting shared media or reducing capacity.
  • Deleting a file from the library is separate from removing a storage pack. See Manage the Media Library before deleting files.

Troubleshooting

  • Media Storage is missing: check the selected plan and billing access; the free plan does not offer this add-on.
  • An overflow warning appears: keep sufficient capacity or free up space before confirming the reduction. Do not assume locked files will remain available indefinitely.
  • Usage or capacity looks wrong: reload billing and the library, and confirm the subscription update succeeded before buying again.
  • A file is locked or its deletion date is unclear: review the library warning and contact support before the stated deadline.
