Review a calendar shared with you
On this page
Open a shared calendar and use the access its owner has given you.
Before you start
Get the calendar link and any password from its owner. The owner chooses the accounts, date range and available actions.
Open the feature
Open the shared calendar link.
Steps
- Enter your name on Enter your details to continue, provide your email when requested, and enter the password if the link requires one.
- Check the calendar’s visible accounts and dates.
- Open a post to inspect its content and status.
- Use editing, deletion or approval controls only when the link allows them. Read any confirmation before submitting a change.
- If notes are available, use the permitted note actions and identify yourself when prompted.
- Check the resulting post or note status after saving.
Choose your viewing timezone
Use the shared calendar's timezone control to choose how dates and times are displayed. Check that timezone before reviewing a post's scheduled time. Changing the viewer timezone does not by itself reschedule the original post.
Expected result
You see the content included in the share and can perform only its permitted actions.
Example
Review a client calendar that allows approval but not editing, then approve the posts you have checked.
Limits and permissions
-
Adding or removing a coupon updates the shared-calendar allowance, including extra allowances on your account and purchased extra slots. The same allowance applies when creating links from the dashboard or an assistant. Previously disabled links stay disabled when the allowance changes.
-
View-only links do not allow editing.
-
Private drafts are excluded even when shared drafts are visible.
-
A shared link does not grant a normal team login or access to other workspaces. The shared calendar has no workspace switcher, and the workspace onboarding tour does not appear on it, even if you are signed in to Social Champ in the same browser.
-
The owner can disable the link or change its password and permissions.
-
A link locked by the owner's plan is unavailable. Changing plans does not turn a link back on if the owner switched it off.
Troubleshooting
- The link is unavailable: ask its owner whether sharing is still enabled.
- An expected post is absent: ask the owner to check the shared dates, accounts and visibility options.
- An action is missing: the link may not grant that permission.
