Download the posts in your Calendar view as a bulk upload file, so you can upload the same content calendar to another workspace or another Social Champ account.

Before you start

  • Check you're in the right workspace. Export only includes that workspace's posts, and only the social accounts you can see in it.
  • Export works in Month and Week view.
  • The file uses the same columns as the bulk upload template, so you can upload it again from Bulk Upload without rearranging anything. If your plan includes Quick Select, the file has the Agency template's extra Quick Select column (left empty); otherwise it has the basic template's columns.

Open the feature

Choose Calendar in the left sidebar. Switch to Month or Week at the top right. Export is next to Delete all. On a narrow window, Search, Export and Delete all show only their icons; hover over one to see its name.

Steps

  1. In the social account selector at the top left, tick the accounts whose posts you want.
  2. Move to the month or week you want.
  3. Optional: click Filters and pick the Post Status, Post Type and Labels you want. Click Apply.
  4. Click Export.
  5. Your browser downloads the file. If the view has YouTube posts, a second file with the YouTube template downloads too.
  6. Read Your export is ready. If it lists rows that need a look, fix them in the file before you upload it.

Expected result

You get a CSV file with one row per post. Drafts, scheduled and published posts are all included when your filters include them. Posts published outside Social Champ are included too when Post Status is All or includes External Posts. Dates and times are in the workspace's timezone. Nothing is scheduled, changed or published by the export.

To reuse the posts, open the file, change the dates, then upload it from Bulk Upload in the workspace you want the posts in. You pick the social accounts there, so posts never land on another client's account by themselves. See Bulk upload posts from a CSV or Excel file.

Example

To reuse October's launch calendar for a second client, open Calendar in the first client's workspace, switch to Month and move to October. Click Filters, tick the Launch label under Labels and click Apply. Click Export. Change each date in the file to the new month, switch to the second client's workspace, and upload the file from Bulk Upload.

What the file keeps

  • Text, link, labels, the date and time, and repeat settings.
  • Image, video, thumbnail and document links, and alt text.
  • Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter) and Threads first comments, and the first comment delay.
  • Pinterest title and link, Google Business Profile type and URL, Instagram post type, Reel tags and locations.
  • YouTube title, privacy, category, playlist, tags and the other YouTube settings, in the YouTube file.

When you upload the file to a different Social Champ account, images and videos that were in the first account's library are copied into the new account. The new posts keep working even if the first account later deletes that media. Files over 500 MB, and media that isn't publicly available, stay as links. The copy is made only when the file keeps the name the export gave it.

Limits and permissions

  • You can export up to 300 posts at a time, or your plan's own bulk upload limit if it has one. A bigger view is refused with the number of posts in it. Narrow the dates or filters and export in parts.
  • Month view exports the month on screen, not the days from the months before and after that the grid also shows.
  • Drafts keep the same columns as scheduled posts. A draft for a YouTube channel goes in the YouTube file.
  • Queue posts are exported with their scheduled date and time, not as queue slots.
  • Labels match an existing label in the other workspace whatever their capitals. A label that isn't there yet is created in lowercase, for example launch for Launch.
  • A cell that starts with =, +, @ or a dash followed by a letter gets an apostrophe in front, so a spreadsheet shows it as text instead of running it as a formula. Bulk upload removes the apostrophe again from any cell you didn't change, as long as the file keeps the name the export gave it (a browser's " (1)" is fine). If you rename the file or edit that cell, the apostrophe stays in the text.
  • Upcoming Recycle campaign posts aren't included. Calendar draws them from the campaign, not as posts of their own, and Your export is ready tells you how many were left out.
  • A post set to repeat forever is exported once, as a row with FOREVER, even if only its later repeats are in the view.
  • If you're a team member, you only export posts for the social accounts you have access to in this workspace. A draft written for several accounts only includes the versions for accounts you can see.
  • If no social account is selected, the export includes every account you can see in this workspace.
  • Export isn't available in the demo workspace, or on a shared calendar link.

Rows that need a look

Your export is ready lists any row that won't upload exactly as it was:

  • A post with different text or media per account: each version is its own row. Upload each row to the accounts it belongs to, or delete the versions you don't need.
  • A comma in an alt text or a label name: bulk upload reads commas as separators. Edit that alt text or label before you upload.
  • A Threads topic: the bulk upload template has no Threads topic column. Add the topic again after you upload.
  • A post published straight on the network: posts you published on the network itself (not through Social Champ) are included with their text, labels and time. Their media links point at the network and can stop working, so replace them with your own media links. A video published on the network, such as a YouTube or TikTok video, has no video file link, so add one in the Video URL column before you upload.

Troubleshooting

  • "There are no posts to export in this view": check the selected accounts, the month or week, and your filters.
  • "You can export up to 300 at a time": pick a shorter range with Week view, or narrow the filters, and export in parts.
  • The upload says "Please schedule your post at a future date": change the dates in the file to future dates. Published posts keep their original dates in the export.
  • Export isn't shown: switch to Month or Week view.
