Compare how posts containing different hashtags performed on one profile.

Before you start

Select a profile with post data. Hashtag results depend on the posts and metrics available for that profile.

Open the feature

Choose Analytics > Social Champ and find the hashtag performance section.

Steps

  1. Choose the profile and date range.
  2. Review Posts analyzed, Posts with hashtags, Unique hashtags and Median hashtags per post. To hide or show these tiles, click Customize, change the ticks and click Done. Reset turns every tile back on.
  3. Review Top hashtags, ranked by median engagement.
  4. Use Search and the available ranking or post-source filters to narrow the table.
  5. Select a hashtag to open the posts behind its result.
  6. Read the sample-size information before comparing results.

Expected result

The table and detail drawer show performance for posts that contain each hashtag.

Example

Compare two campaign hashtags, then open each one to see whether its result comes from many posts or only one.

Limits and permissions

  • These results show association; they do not prove a hashtag caused better performance.
  • Small samples are marked as limited data.
  • Filters can distinguish posts published with Social Champ from posts published elsewhere when offered.

Troubleshooting

  • No hashtags match: clear the search or widen the filters.
  • The detail drawer could not load: close it and select the hashtag again.
  • No posts are available: check the profile and dates.

Rank, filter and export hashtag results

Use Customize to show or hide Posts analyzed, Posts with hashtags, Unique hashtags and Median hashtags per post. For the hashtag table, choose Top-performing (median engagement), Most used (post count) or Highest reach (median reach). Search for a hashtag and choose All owned posts, Published with Social Champ or Published elsewhere to set the post source.

The chart distinguishes hashtags used in five or more posts from limited-data results. Open a hashtag to see its post count, median engagement, median reach where available, best-performing-post value and sample-size message. The drawer lists the contributing posts with dates and metrics and marks Social Champ posts. Open the offered post detail for closer inspection; Done closes the drawer. Use Export hashtag performance to download the available hashtag report. Changing the source or dates can change both the ranking and sample size.

Navigate hashtag post details

Open a contributing post from the hashtag drawer, then use its back action to return to the post list. If Repost is offered, review the resulting composer before publishing. Closing with Done or the drawer close control leaves the report available. Search, sorting and source selection describe the report; they do not add hashtags to existing posts.
