Save the way you set up an analytics page, including widgets, metrics, accounts, labels, competitors, team members, dates and filters, and open it again in one click. Saved views work on Analytics Overview, Cross Platform Analytics, Competitor Analysis, Label Analytics, Engage Labels, Team Analytics, Link in Bio and Review & Reputation.

Before you start

Open the analytics page in the workspace the view is for. A saved view belongs to one workspace and never appears in another.

Open the feature

  • On the page, change the setup (for example in Customize), then select Save this view next to the page title, or Save my view at the bottom of the Customize panel on Analytics Overview, Cross Platform Analytics and Label Analytics.
  • To find views later, choose Analytics > Saved views.

Steps

  1. Change the page until it shows what you want.
  2. Select Save this view next to the page title, then Save this view again in the message that opens.
  3. Enter a name of up to 50 characters. Two views can share a name.
  4. Choose Only me or Everyone in this workspace, then select Save view.
  5. To switch views, select the view button next to the page title and pick another view, or pick one under Saved views in the left menu. Pick Default view at the top of the list to go back to the page default. If you have unsaved changes, a message names the view they belong to, even if you went through Saved views to pick the next one. Select Switch anyway to drop them, or Save as new view to keep them. If you own the view or are a workspace admin, Save changes saves them onto that view before switching.
  6. To build a view without opening the page first, go to Analytics > Saved views, select Create new, fill in the details, select Next, choose metrics, then select Create. Under Select date range, pick a rolling range such as Last 30 days, which moves with today, or select Fixed dates and pick the days on the calendar; the note below then names the range the view always shows. For a Profile Analytics view, the metric list has the same per-network rows as Customize for the first account you tick. If you change that first account to one on another network, the metric picks start over. On Competitor and Engage Labels, the metric step lists the same rows as that page's PDF export. On Team Analytics, Link in Bio and Review & Reputation, the metric step lists the cards their Customize shows.

What each page saves

Page Saved with the view
Competitor Analysis Your accounts and competitors on every network (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), the dates and the metrics picked when the view was created
Engage Labels The Engage labels, the platform filter, the accounts filter, the dates and the metrics picked when the view was created
Team Analytics The team members, the platform filter, the accounts filter, the dates and the cards hidden in Customize
Link in Bio The Link in Bio page, the dates and the cards hidden in Customize
Review & Reputation The review accounts, the dates, the cards hidden in Customize and the reviewer sentiment filter

On these pages, Save this view appears once you change the competitors, labels, team members, dates, filters or cards. Changing only the accounts does not count as a change until a view is open, the same as Analytics Overview and Cross Platform Analytics.

Opening a Competitor or Engage Labels view hides what its metrics leave out. On Competitor Analysis that is the overview table, each trend in the trends chart (the chart goes when no trend is picked) and the engagement breakdown, share of engagement, best time to post and content formats cards. On Engage Labels it is the highlight cards, top performing labels and the three sentiment sections. Export and Schedule started from the open view begin with its metrics ticked. A view saved before metrics could be picked shows everything. Shared Analytics links for these pages have no metric choice and always show every section.

Expected result

A button with the view name appears next to the page title and the view appears under Saved views, in the All tab and the tab for its page. The tabs follow the Analytics menu: Profile Analytics, Cross Platform, Competitor, Label Analytics, Engage Labels, Team Analytics, Link in Bio and Review & Reputation, each with its count. The page name also shows under each view's name. Opening it later shows the same setup with current data. Last modified shows a dash until the view is renamed, changed or has its visibility changed; opening a view does not count as a change.

Example

Save Label Analytics with your launch labels and the last 30 days as "Launch labels, weekly", visible to everyone in the workspace, so teammates can open the same setup.

Limits and permissions

  • Only me views are visible only to you. Workspace admins cannot see them either.
  • Each person has their own saved view limit. The account owner's comes from the plan, and each team member's from the plan's team member allowance; either is 50 if the plan sets no number. Only views you saved count, in every workspace and on every page; teammates' views don't use your allowance.
  • The usage meter at the top of Analytics > Saved views, left of Filter By, shows views used out of the limit. For the account owner it adds up everyone on the account; open it to see Usage & Limits with your own count under Personal and each team member's count, name and email under Team member. Only members who have joined are listed; pending invites and clients are not. A team member sees only their own count. The header bar turns red at 90%; a person's bar in the list turns red when they reach their limit. It is hidden on narrow screens below tablet width.
  • Everyone in this workspace views can be opened by anyone in the workspace. Only the owner, the workspace owner and workspace admins can save changes, rename, change visibility or delete them. Everyone else can save their changes as a new view of their own.
  • Changes you make to someone else's view stay in your session until you save them as your own view.
  • Saved views are not client links and do not use your shared report allowance. To share with a client, use Publish as Shared Analytics from the view's actions. Link in Bio has no Shared Analytics link or scheduled report, so its views offer only Export.
  • On Saved views, the view's Export, Publish as Shared Analytics and Schedule report actions open the page with the view, wait until its accounts or labels have loaded, then start that action. If the action cannot run yet, for example because the view's account has no report data, a message says why.
  • Competitor Analysis remembers the accounts and competitors you compare. Opening a Competitor view switches that comparison to the view's, as picking them on the page would.
  • Shared Analytics links and scheduled reports created from a view keep their own copy of its setup. Later edits to the view do not change them, and deleting the view does not stop them unless you also cancel the scheduled reports when asked.

Troubleshooting

  • A label in the view was deleted: the view still opens without it and a notice names the removed label.
  • A competitor, team member, review account or Link in Bio page in the view is gone: the view still opens. Competitor Analysis keeps the comparison it had, Team Analytics shows every member, Review & Reputation keeps the accounts already selected, and Link in Bio opens your first page.
  • The view button is replaced by Save this view: you changed the open view. Select Save this view to save or reset the changes.
  • Upgrade to save more views: you already have as many saved views as your plan allows. Delete one of your views or upgrade, then save again.
  • You can keep a set number of saved views: as a team member you have reached your limit. Delete one of your views, or ask the account owner about a plan with a higher limit.
  • Save changes is missing: you are not the owner or a workspace admin. Use Save as new.
  • A Cross Platform view opens on the last 7 days: when the view includes a YouTube account, the page applies its YouTube date rule and the view shows as changed. Pick the dates again and save the view, or leave YouTube out of the view.
  • The view is not listed: check that you are in the right workspace, and that the owner has not set it to Only me.
