Change your display name or profile picture, review account-email settings, or delete your account.

Before you start

These settings affect your own login. Accounts managed by a social sign-in provider can have restricted editing controls.

Open the feature

Choose Settings > Personal > Account. The page is headed Personal Settings.

Steps

  1. Edit Name.
  2. To change your picture, choose Upload a picture. The recommended size is 360 × 360.
  3. Choose Save settings.
  4. If email editing is available, review Current Email, enter New Email and your Password, and check Change billing email before choosing Change Email.
  5. Follow any confirmation shown by the app.

Delete your account permanently

  1. Scroll to Delete Account Permanently at the bottom of the page and click the Delete Account Permanently button.
  2. On Authentication Required, type your Password and click Confirm.
    • If your account has no password (you signed up with Google or Apple), the dialog says it will send a verification code to your email. Click Send code, enter the 6-digit code from your inbox, and click Confirm.
    • If you have a password but forgot it, click Use email code instead and do the same.
  3. Choose an option under What is the main reason why you're deleting your Social Champ account?, then add more detail in the box below it.
  4. Read the note, then tick Yes, I'd like to delete my account.
  5. Click Delete My Account.

Expected result

Successfully saved profile details appear on your account. Follow the displayed email confirmation before treating an email change as complete.

If you deleted your account, a confirmation message appears and you're taken out of the app. Deleting your account takes up to seven days. Until then you can change your mind: sign in again (with your password or Continue with Google) and choose Reactivate my account.

Example

Update your display name to the name colleagues should see, then save the settings.

Limits and permissions

Client users do not see Change Email or Delete Account Permanently. Change Email is also hidden for lifetime-deal accounts.

  • Email changes are not offered for every account type.
  • Delete Account Permanently is a separate destructive action, not a way to sign out or cancel billing.
  • While you have a paid subscription, the button is greyed out and shows "Please unsubscribe to 'Delete' your account". Cancel your subscription first. See Cancel a subscription. On a free trial you can delete straight away.
  • Deleting your account permanently deletes all the data stored in Social Champ, including everything in publish, analytics, engage and the social media calendar. Posts already published stay on your social profiles.
  • The email code works once, expires after 10 minutes, and stops working after 5 wrong attempts. You can ask for a new code once a minute.
  • Do not share your password or your email code with support.

Troubleshooting

  • Changes are not applicable for social login: manage those details through the indicated sign-in provider.
  • Save fails: read the message and reload before retrying.
  • You only need a new password: use the security guide.
  • Delete Account Permanently is greyed out: you still have a paid subscription. Cancel it first, then come back.
  • Confirm shows an error on Authentication Required: check your password and try again.
  • The email code does not arrive: check spam, then click Resend code when the countdown ends. The code goes to the email address on your account.
  • The code is rejected: it may have expired or been used. Click Resend code for a new one.
