See what happened in your workspaces, such as failed posts, team changes and advocacy campaigns waiting for you, and act on each update.

Before you start

  • Notifications belong to your own login. Your teammates see their own.
  • Advocacy notifications addressed to you, such as an advocate invite or a campaign waiting for you, show in the bell whichever workspace you are working in.
  • Which notifications you get depends on your notification preferences.

Open the feature

Click the Notifications bell near the bottom of the left sidebar. A red badge on the bell shows how many notifications you have not read yet. To see the full list on its own page, click See all at the top of the panel.

Steps

  1. Choose All to see every notification, or Unread to see only the ones you have not read.
  2. To narrow the list, click Filters and choose a type: Team, Post, Profile, Bulk or Engage.
  3. Click a notification to open what it is about, for example the failed post or the team page.
  4. On an advocacy notification, click the link next to the time to go straight there:
    • View campaign or View campaigns opens your advocacy feed.
    • Manage accounts opens the accounts you share from in Advocacy.
    • Review invite opens the invitation in Advocacy, where you can accept it.
  5. To tidy a single notification, open its menu (three dots) and choose Mark as read or Remove notification.
  6. To tidy the whole list, open the menu at the top of the panel or page and choose Mark all as read. On the full page you can also choose Delete all notifications.

Ads notifications

With Ads on, the account owner is notified when a campaign is approved or rejected, paused by spend protection or at the monthly allowance, when access to an ad account is lost, when a boost isn't sent because its post didn't publish, and when support decides an allowance request. Click one to open the campaign or Ad accounts.

Decide a label request from a notification

Open the label-request notification in the intended workspace. If your role allows a decision, choose Approve or Decline. For a decline, complete the note and confirmation shown by the card. Check the resulting decision state before responding again; already decided requests cannot be treated as new requests.

Expected result

Each card shows a title, a short message and how long ago it happened. Unread notifications are highlighted and marked with a red dot or a count. After you mark a notification as read, its highlight goes away and the badge on the bell goes down.

Example

A card reads Campaigns waiting for you, "You have 2 campaigns waiting in your advocacy feed.", 2 hours ago, followed by View campaigns. Clicking View campaigns opens your advocacy feed with those campaigns.

Limits and permissions

  • Marking a notification as read does not complete the underlying task. Its action can still require the appropriate workspace role.
  • Delete all notifications asks you to confirm, then removes every notification from your list.
  • To change which notifications you get, choose Notification Settings from the same menu.

Troubleshooting

  • A notification you expected is missing. Check that All is selected and that no filter is applied, then check your notification preferences.
  • You see "Campaign link isn't working". The notification may be outdated. Click Open Advocacy to see the campaigns that are still available.
  • You see "Workspace no longer available". You may have been removed from that workspace, or it may no longer exist. Click View your workspaces to pick one you can still open.

When a Page in your mention was not tagged

A Mention not tagged notification means your Facebook Page post went live but Facebook did not tag one of the Pages in your mention. The Page may be deleted or restricted. Click the notification to open the post. It shows as Partially Published, and the post details name the Pages that were not tagged. This notification appears in the app only; no email is sent. Like other post-problem alerts, it follows your Post failed notification setting, which is on by default, and several alerts for the same profile on one day are grouped into one card.

Expired social account notifications

Reconnect notices may appear in-app and by email when your notification preferences allow them. Several affected profiles in one workspace can be combined into an email. Open Social Accounts to check the current connection status before reconnecting.

When a reply in your thread was not posted

A Reply not posted notification means your X (Twitter) or Bluesky thread is live, but a reply in it couldn't be posted: Your post is live on , but a reply in its thread couldn't be posted. Open the post to fix and retry it. Click it to open the post in the Partially Published viewer, where Retry on a reply outlined in red lets you edit and resend the missing replies. It appears under the Post filter, is on by default, follows your Post failed notification setting and is grouped per profile per day. An email, Your post is live, but a reply couldn't be posted, is sent too and follows your post-failed email setting. A failed retry sends both again.
