Send a content idea for a brand administrator to review.

Before you start

You must be an advocate for the destination brand. Prepare the content you want its administrators to review.

Open the feature

Open Advocacy > To do and choose Suggest a post.

Steps

  1. Select the Brand and Topic.
  2. Enter the Post content and an optional link.
  3. Choose Submit for approval.
  4. Review the suggestion’s status in your recent suggestions.
  5. If it shows Changes requested, read What to change, choose Edit and resubmit, update the content and choose Resubmit for approval.

Expected result

The suggestion enters the brand’s review process. Submission itself does not publish a social post.

Example

Suggest a product tip to your brand, then revise it if the administrator asks for a clearer example.

Limits and permissions

  • Content must contain at least 10 characters.
  • Brand and topic are required.
  • Only suggestions returned for changes can be revised through this action. Pending and decided suggestions cannot be rewritten here.

Troubleshooting

  • The brand is missing: confirm that you accepted its invitation.
  • Submission is unavailable: fill in all required fields and meet the content length.
  • Changes requested: use the existing suggestion’s edit action so the review continues on that suggestion.

Follow the review without duplicating submissions

Your recent suggestions lists the topic, caption and status. A returned suggestion shows What to change; other reviewed items can show an Admin note. Open Edit and resubmit on the existing returned item, make the requested change and submit it again. Do not treat closing the dialog or saving text locally as a successful submission: check that the suggestion's status updates.
