Choose the personal social accounts you use for advocacy.

Before you start

Join a brand as an advocate. The brand controls which networks it accepts.

Open the feature

Open Advocacy > My accounts.

Steps

  1. Review the accounts available for the selected brand. If you manage more than one brand, select the brand whose accounts you want to review.
  2. Choose Connect Account to add an eligible account and complete the network’s authorization steps. A connection started from this page is added for advocacy automatically when you return.
  3. Check the account's network, status and whether it is also connected outside Advocacy. Use Reconnect on an expired account.
  4. Choose Remove from advocacy to stop using an account for this brand. Read the confirmation to check whether it will only be removed from this brand or disconnected from Social Champ.

Refresh and inspect connected accounts

If you reach your account limit, contact your program administrator. Advocates do not have a Purchase add-on button.

Expected result

The page lists your advocacy accounts and shows which are available for the current brand.

Example

Connect your LinkedIn account for a brand that accepts LinkedIn campaigns, then return to its To do list.

Limits and permissions

  • Your advocacy accounts are separate from workspace publishing profiles.
  • A brand can restrict networks and the number of accounts you can use. The connection and sharing limits can depend on your role and the selected brand; follow the limit shown in the page or connect dialog.
  • An account unavailable for one brand may still be connected elsewhere.
  • A workspace publishing account limit may not apply to an advocacy connection.

Troubleshooting

  • No advocate access: select a brand you have joined.
  • No eligible accounts: connect a permitted network or select another brand.
  • Reconnect required: complete the network login and return to check the status.
  • An account is unavailable in this brand: check the unavailable section for the account and reason. Connect an allowed network or choose another brand.

Choose sharing accounts for a programme

Open Review invite from your invitation notification to reach My brands and use Choose accounts or Manage accounts on the intended brand. In the selection dialog, search for an account, select the eligible accounts and choose Continue. Connect new account for this advocacy starts a new authorization flow. Skip for now, when offered during setup, postpones selection; it does not connect an account or complete a share.

An account can appear but be unavailable because it cannot share, needs reconnection, or is not permitted by that brand. Facebook profiles and Groups can require the Social Champ mobile app for publishing; the dialog explains when signing into the app is required. Choosing that account does not make it a browser-direct publishing connection.

An account marked as connected outside Advocacy may also be used elsewhere. Read the remove confirmation before proceeding: removing a brand association and disconnecting a social account are different actions. The unavailable section explains why retained connections cannot currently be used; do not assume missing eligibility means the provider account was deleted.

Account row menu

Use the account row's menu for Re-sync to refresh its name and picture from the network. Re-sync does not renew expired authorization; use Reconnect for that. The network link opens the profile in a new tab when one is available. Close the menu or click outside it to return without changing the account.

For engagement identity verification, follow Verify your advocacy identity. Choosing sharing accounts and proving ownership for engagement verification are separate tasks.
