Share and engage with advocacy campaigns
On this page
Complete campaigns shared with you by a brand.
Before you start
Accept the brand invitation and connect your own advocacy account for the required network.
Open the feature
Open Advocacy > To do.
Steps
- Open a campaign and read its content, brand and requested actions.
- For a shareable campaign, choose Edit and share. If asked, choose the advocacy accounts to use.
- Review the caption, accounts and posting controls in the composer before submitting a share.
- For an engagement campaign, open the original post and complete the requested actions on that network. Return to the campaign and mark only the actions you completed.
- Review Completed and your progress after the action is recorded.
If you are unsure whether an action was recorded, check its status in the campaign before trying again.
Join a brand and find campaigns
Follow your advocacy invitation to accept the intended brand, then select it in the brand switcher. Use the feed filters to find the campaigns available to you. If Get verified is offered, complete the account-verification flow before relying on engagement tracking. Use Rewrite in my voice where available, then review the rewritten text before sharing.
Expected result
Completed actions appear in your campaign history. A campaign requiring several engagement actions is complete only after all required actions are recorded.
Example
A brand asks you to comment on a launch post. Open the original post, leave your comment, then return and record that action.
Limits and permissions
- Advocacy uses your advocacy accounts; it does not automatically use workspace publishing accounts.
- Sharing publishes content to the selected social accounts. Review the content and destination before submitting.
- A recorded action and a verified action are different states. Read the verification status shown.
- Points and completion are shown for the selected brand's campaign. Check the brand shown on the campaign when reviewing your progress.
- Paused or ended campaigns, brand access and usage limits can prevent new actions.
Troubleshooting
- Connect account to share: connect an account allowed by the brand.
- Reconnect required: reconnect the affected advocacy account.
- Campaign unavailable: choose View available campaigns.
- An action was already completed: check its existing status rather than repeating the action.
Work through the feed
Use To do for open work and Completed for recorded completions. Switch between grid and list layouts where offered; both describe the same campaigns. Filter by brand and campaign type to narrow the feed. Cards show the campaign type, originating brand, points, due date and content. A due-soon indicator is different from a paused or expired campaign.
The top of each card shows the campaign's image or video. A campaign with several attachments shows the first one and a count of the rest, such as +2. A video shows a play button; select it to play the video in the card. A campaign without media, or whose image cannot load, shows a Shareable or Engagement illustration instead; it does not mean content is missing. When a campaign has a link, the link appears in a strip under the image, except for a shareable campaign with its own image or video: there the link appears below the campaign text, because it is shared in the post's text. For a shareable campaign without its own image, the card shows the link's preview image and title when the linked page provides one; some pages provide no preview, and those cards keep the illustration. For an engagement campaign, the strip also shows the first line of the original post, and the rest of the post appears below the brand name.
For a Share campaign, inspect the available destination accounts before Edit and share. If Rewrite in my voice is offered, review the generated wording; the restore action returns to the original wording. A locked caption is not freely editable. Opening the composer is not a completed share: check the posting result before repeating it.
For an Engage campaign, open the original post. The copy icon beside Suggested comment copies the text; it does not submit a comment. A Note box shows instructions from the brand, separate from the post itself. Both boxes show the first two lines on the card. Hover over the text to read all of it, or click or tap it to expand it on the card; click or tap again to shorten it. Complete the requested network action, then record it in the campaign. Multiple required actions have separate progress and point values. Read Verified, Checking…, Not seen yet or Connect to verify as different states. Connecting an identity does not retroactively prove you completed an action.
If a campaign link is unavailable, use View available campaigns rather than repeatedly opening the old link. An all-caught-up state can mean you completed the current filtered feed, not every campaign in every brand.
