Who can spend on ads

Only the account owner and Admins can launch campaigns, change budgets, resume and end them. Being able to schedule posts doesn't let anyone spend a client's budget.

Before you start

Check your role in the client's workspace under Settings > Team.

Open the feature

There's nothing to set. Ads checks your role in each client's workspace when you launch or change a campaign.

Steps

1. To let a teammate spend on a client's ads, make them Admin in that client's workspace.
2. To stop them, change their role to anything other than Admin.

Expected result

The change applies straight away. A teammate who can't spend sees "Only the account owner and admins can launch them or change budgets." in the Ads menu.

Example

Your account manager runs one client's campaigns. You make them Admin in that client's workspace, and they can launch boosts there.

Limits and permissions

• The account owner and Admins can spend. Every other role can view Ads, pause campaigns and use Stop all campaigns, because stopping spend lowers risk.
• Client roles can't see Ads.
• The check runs on Social Champ's servers for every request, including Switch's ad actions.

Troubleshooting

• A teammate still can't launch: check they are Admin in that client's workspace, not only in another one.
