Run your branded portal on your own domain, and send emails from your own address.

Before you start

  • White Label depends on your plan and may not be available on your account yet.
  • Only the account owner can open White Label.
  • You need access to your domain's DNS settings at your domain provider.
  • Pick a subdomain you control, such as portal.yourdomain.com.

Open the feature

Click your profile picture to open your profile menu and choose White Label. In the White Label menu, choose Domain and Email. The Domain & Email page opens.

Steps

  1. Type your subdomain in Custom Domain and click Connect.
  2. Under Add these DNS records at your domain provider, copy each record's Type, Host / Name and Value with Copy. Add them at your domain provider.
  3. Back in Social Champ, click Verify. Repeat after a few minutes until the status shows Active.
  4. To send emails from your domain, type a sender name such as "hello" in Custom Sender Email and click Set up.
  5. Add the email DNS records shown at your domain provider, then click Verify. Repeat until the status shows Verified.
  6. Under Legal links, type your Privacy Policy URL and Terms & Conditions URL, then click Save.

Expected result

You see Domain verified and active. when your domain is ready and Email domain verified. when your sender address is ready. After you click Save, you see Domain and email settings saved.

Example

To use portal.northwind.com, type it in Custom Domain and click Connect. Add the records shown at your domain provider and click Verify until the status shows Active. Type "hello" in Custom Sender Email, click Set up, add the email records and click Verify. Emails now come from hello@portal.northwind.com.

Limits and permissions

A domain being removed can show Disconnecting until disconnection finishes.

  • The domain status can be Pending, Verifying, Active or Failed.
  • You can set up a sender email only after your domain is Active. The sender address always uses your connected domain.
  • Keep the DNS records in place. Removing them can take your site offline.
  • If your DNS provider shows the same host more than once, add each value as a separate TXT record.
  • Enter the host exactly as shown. Your provider adds the rest of the domain.
  • Legal links must start with https://.
  • On your branded domain, shared calendar and shared analytics links you copy open on your domain, and links to Social Champ's help center are hidden.
  • To change domains, click Disconnect domain, then click Disconnect. Your branded site stops working on that domain, but your White Label settings stay saved.

Troubleshooting

  • You see "Add the DNS records below at your domain provider, then click Verify again.": check each record matches exactly. DNS changes can take time, so wait a few minutes and click Verify again.
  • You see "This domain is already connected to another account.": another account connected it and verified it, or started connecting it within the last 7 days. Use a different subdomain, or contact support. A connection that was never verified (the DNS records were never added) stops holding the domain after 7 days, so you can then connect it yourself.
  • You see "Disconnect the current domain before connecting a different one.": click Disconnect domain first.
  • You see "Domain provisioning is not available yet. Contact support.": contact support.
  • You see "Enter a secure URL, e.g. https://example.com/privacy": start the link with https://.
  • You see "Could not load the latest domain and email settings.": click Retry before changing anything.

Connect, verify and save are different actions

Enter a bare hostname such as portal.example.com, without https://, a path or a port. Connect starts domain setup and produces the required DNS records. Verify checks setup status. Save on this page saves the legal-link settings; it does not replace either verification action.

A connected domain remains locked to its configured hostname. To use another hostname, review Disconnect domain first. Disconnecting stops the branded site on that domain and retains the branding settings; it is not a rename with uninterrupted access. Check any shared calendar/report links that use the old hostname before changing domains.

Interpret setup and recovery states

State Next step
Pending Add the displayed records, then verify.
Verifying Let the operation finish and review its resulting status.
Active Inspect the branded site and retain the DNS records.
Failed Read the displayed error, correct the setup and verify again or contact support.

DNS ownership, active website access and sender-email verification are separate results. A successful copy action only copies a record; you still need to add it at your DNS provider. If clipboard access fails, copy the visible Type, Host/Name and Value manually. If the latest settings cannot load, use Retry before making changes so that a stale form does not guide your next action.

For the remaining setup, use Configure a branded sender and Set branded legal links.
