Configure the sending address for supported White Label email delivery.

Before you start

Use the account owner with White Label access. First connect your custom domain and wait for its Active status. You need access to that domain's DNS records.

Open the feature

Open your profile menu > White Label > Domain and Email and find Custom Sender Email.

Steps

  1. Enter only the alias, such as hello, rather than a full email address.
  2. Check Your sending address. The connected domain is appended automatically.
  3. Choose Set up.
  4. Copy the displayed email DNS records and add each at your DNS provider, preserving its type, name and value.
  5. Return and choose Verify. Review the status; repeat after DNS changes have propagated if needed.
  6. When status is Verified, retain the required records. Use Re-verify if you need to check the setup again.

Expected result

The page confirms Email domain verified when verification succeeds. Domain activation, sender verification and actual message delivery are separate checks; verification alone is not a test email.

Supported branded notifications keep your tenant branding whether the message uses a configured sender or the default sender. If a specific notification matters to your workflow, confirm its content and delivery with a message to an address you control.

Example

With portal.example.com active, enter hello. The address preview should show hello@portal.example.com. Verify that domain's email records before relying on the sender.

Limits and permissions

  • The sender uses the connected custom domain, not an arbitrary address on another domain.
  • Email setup is optional and distinct from website activation.
  • Setting up a sending identity does not create an inbox or mailbox for receiving replies.
  • Keep DNS verification records in place. Changing or removing records can break sender verification.
  • Where several TXT values share a host, add each value separately as instructed by the displayed setup.
  • Only supported branded email flows use the configured sender; do not assume every platform or third-party email changes its sender.

Troubleshooting

  • Verify your custom domain first: complete the website-domain flow before setting up email.
  • Enter an email alias: enter the local part, such as hello, and inspect the resulting address.
  • Pending or failed verification: check the displayed records and error, wait for DNS updates, then verify again.
  • Copied record but still pending: copying did not add it at your DNS provider.
  • Verified but a message did not arrive: verification is not delivery confirmation. Check the actual send result and recipient mailbox; contact support if the supported branded flow does not deliver.

Remove a sender email

  1. Open the branded sender settings.
  2. Select Remove sender email next to the current sender.
  3. Confirm with Remove.

Emails then use the default sender. The current sender stays visible, and can be removed, even after its domain is disconnected.
